A movement born from devotion and herbal heritage

Through the practice of Adhishakti and the grace of Lord Shiva, Siddhars and Sages performed herbal Abishegam to God 4,000 years ago for the welfare of this universe. (The reason is that herbs are divine beings with god-like qualities).

4,000 years later, according to the guidance of Thirumoolar Siddhar, from the year 2021, 108 Divine Natural Herbal Abishegams are being performed every month on Full Moon and New Moon days at the Shiva temples praised in Thevaram hymns and other famous temples.

The specialty of this herbal Abishegam is that the 108 herbs are considered 108 deities. Only Siddhars and Sages could perform this Abishegam to God and create a powerful universe with His help.

When the 108 Divine Natural Herbal Abishegam is performed for God, those who witness it are relieved of sins from previous births and the sins of this current life. The impacts of negative forces are removed.

Finally, the 108 herbal deities, with the help of the Almighty, remove the cycle of human birth.

Thirumoolar Siddhar is the disciple of Nandi Deva. Lord Shiva first preached the nine Agamas in the Amarnath cave in the Himalayas to Goddess Parvathi, and secondly to Nandi Deva. Nandi Deva then preached these nine Agamas to his disciple Thirumoolar. Thirumoolar obtained the eight Ashta Siddhis at the feet of his guru Nandi Deva — Anima, Mahima, Laghima, Garima, Prapti, Prakamya, Isatva and Vasitva. To overcome the illusion of duality and spread the philosophy of Monism (Ekathuva Siddhantham), he was sent to Tamil Nadu in South India and later became known to the world as Thirumoolar Siddhar.

Mr. Venkatesan was born on 20.05.1979 in Bodinaickenpatti, Kuppadasan Valaivu, Edappadi Taluk, Salem District, to Mr. Kuppadasan Gounder and Mallika. At the age of 21, he married Kokila, daughter of Nallathambi Gounder and Lakshmi from Edappadi, Vellanandivalasu, on the 10th day of the month of Aani in 1999. As a wedding gift, he received a Manoranjitham flowering plant from his brother-in-law. After two years, in Margazhi 2001, the plant began to bloom. For about 10 years, he picked 60 to 80 flowers every day and, with the help of his wife, made them into a garland to offer to the Goddess at the Arulmigu Nanjundeswarar Temple in Edappadi. This service continued regardless of wind or rain. Even when his father passed away in 2004, after performing his father's funeral, he continued his flower service to the Goddess. By the grace of the Goddess, this service continued without interruption for 10 years.

Following this flower service, by the grace of the Goddess, in 2011 he went on a pilgrimage to holy places in the Himalayas, including Haridwar, Rishikesh, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. His spiritual journeys also took him to other sacred places including Amarnath, Kailash and Neelkanth.

By Her grace, in 2017, he visited the 12 Jyotirlingas within 30 days and had Darshan.

By Her grace, in 2018, while he was in Haridwar, a person appeared before him and spoke about a terrible upcoming global disease. He then preached about these divine herbs to save the lives of people around the world and disappeared.

In 2021, when the world was suffering from the COVID pandemic, Mr. Venkatesan was sitting alone one night during Chitra Pournami (Full Moon) at Kanjamalai Siddhar Temple in Elampillai, Salem District. At about 3:50 AM, a pillar of light appeared and manifested in a human form, saying, "You are sitting on the mountain where I lived; I am the Thirumoolar Siddhar who spoke to you in Haridwar." He preached about the divine nature of this herbal Abishegam for a few minutes and then disappeared back into a pillar of light.

For that reason, twice a month, Mr. Venkatesan personally goes to nearby mountains to collect 108 divine herbs. With the help of his wife and son, the herbs are ground and prepared for Abishegam. With God's help, he performs Abishegam in ancient temples to bring merit to the temples and spiritual welfare to the people who worship there.

Thus, as his spiritual work continued, he established the Thirumoolar Herbal Abhishekam Trust with Edappadi as its headquarters. Through this Trust, the 108 Divine Natural Herbal Abhishekam continues to be performed with the participation of devotees who visit the temples and people from the surrounding communities.

The herbs used for the Abishegam are distributed as Prasadam to the devotees who come to the temple.
